I was concerned that this may be a money pit after reading reviews. I'm afraid that's the case. I loved the first meeting with the doctor but after $12,000 a few follow up calls with no real direction this was a complete waste of time and money. He calls my son on occasion, which I was told was now $80 since the first ones were over $800 and I just got wacked another 300K!!! Fees are shifty and I now have to jump through hoops to get my card banned from their access. If I was getting answers, I'd be happy to pay. I've seen nothing other than our lab results (nothing there) and he is 'thinking' of why my son is sick. I can not recommend this place- which is disappointing after what I hoped was a good first impression that they were concerned and ready to be proactive. It was just another failure.

I am very disappointed in the attitude of this practice. Straight off the bat, the initial cost is $2,500, with projected auxiliary costs ranging between $3,00-$7,000. Their approach to healthcare by no means is guaranteed to cure what ails people and the fact that they charge such exorbitant fees, up front, strikes me as elitist, exclusionary and ultimately dishonest. The UltraWellness Center's practice of healthcare is available only to those who have access to at least $10,000 of non reimbursable funds. And this does not take into consideration the ongoing cost of supplements prescribed. I caution everyone who is investigating alternative ways to regain their health to proceed slowly when dealing with The UltraWellness Center in Lenox, MA.

Visited Dr. Boham at the UWC today, my first time ever being excited to meet a doctor. She is warm, genuine and here's something weird, she actually seemed to be thinking about what I was saying, and scheming a strategy to create a discovery plan for me (testing and then supplements). With traditional docs, they sit and type your responses to questions, and all sort of seem to follow a script of canned responses. I legitimately felt like Dr. Boham was thinking and ideating on the fly, like a scientist trying to work on a problem. Amazing! I also absolutely loved her Physician's Assistant Edit, another great listener and thinker. My morning there was carefully planned, and they're very efficient. I would advise listening to Dr. Mark Hyman's podcast so you can get a basic understanding of their functional medicine concepts, and get a feel for some sense of the tests they do to investigate certain symptoms. After you meet with the doctor, the RN offers a basic explanation for the 16 or so recommended tests the doctor recommends. Without a little familiarity of the tests, I would think the brevity of the RN appointment would be frustrating as the tests are very expensive (and about 3/4 of the total bill). It would have been better for the doctor to mention the names of the tests on the list as we discussed my symptoms/areas of exploration. I knew a little about the tests she recommended, so that helped, but since I was fasting (no coffee!!!) I had to advocate for myself/ask for further clarification (from the RN) about the recommended tests over and over again. Dr. Boham is a pro, 100% but it's still nice to bring some ideas to the meeting, and participate in the exploration step. The day of your first visit you are required to arrive fasting, so definitely write all your questions down the day before, and any areas of concern you want them to take a look at (that's how they compile the list of tests). For me, it's hard to think without coffee, so I didn't completely get to drop into my meeting with Dr. Boham as deeply as I'd liked, and as I mentioned, the quick breeze through with the RN about all the expensive tests was a challenge for me (mentally). I stayed at Hotel Life House Berkshires five minutes away from the UWC, and it was significantly cheaper (via Expedia) than the lodging suggestions on the UWC site, but still very, very nice. They have a lovely vista bar and patio. Also, make time to check out the shops in Lenox, and have lunch. The UWC is not cheap, but I think it's a nice gift to yourself.

My experience at the Ultra Wellness Center has been exceptional. I decided to optimize the health of my body by making the commitment to getting a complete wellness profile at this center. I was assigned Dr. George Papanicolaou and he is an incredibly intelligent and thorough doctor that really listens to you and knows how to make you feel at ease about everything. He explains all the test results in an easy to understand manner and suggests the best supplements to support my body. I was also assigned an amazing nutritionist - Lisa Dreher. Lisa is incredibly brilliant and detailed and she guides you to the best and most nutritious foods for your body and what you are trying to achieve. The amazing nurse Susan Wallingford is always precise in answering any of my questions and responds very quickly. The entire staff and the lab are incredibly professional and they have impeccable follow through. The Ultra Wellness Center also offers online support when you are a patient that allows me to email any questions I may have. I love this place and I always look forward to going there.

My experience with the Ultrawellness Center thus far has been incredibly positive! I have Diabetes (type 2), and had been taking Metformin for 14 years, which caused horrible side effects that my primary care doctor told me I had to live with. In 2018, I stopped taking it and let my diabetes take over. During the pandemic, a lifelong friend sent me a podcast of Dr. Mark Hyman, and told me he had a functional medical practice in our state. I was instantly intrigued, but more importantly felt that there was hope for me! I did as much research as possible and finally reached out to the Ultrawellness Center to start my journey, and I will not look back. I have never had a medical "team" taking care of me and my health...ever. Dr. Geyer is amazing, she is kind and I feel that she genuinely cares! She explains everything so understandably and eloquently. I can give the exact same description for my Nutritionist, Lisa, my personal nutrition plan IS working! Also on "my team" is R.N. Kelly, who during my first post-visit phone call with, gave me so much hope and inspiration! I should mention, that my journey started only 7 weeks ago - my fasting glucose was 209, and now it is 104. It hasn't been 3 months yet, but so far my A1c went from 9.6 down to 7.3!! Energy is up, sleep is deep and uninterrupted, overall I am functioning far better now than I had been for years. So grateful!!
